The history of Levi’s begins in San Francisco, California in 1853 and its birth is due to the passion for practicality of the founder Levi Strauss. Born in 1829 in Buttenheim, Bavaria, he came to America to work with his brothers in the goods trade when he noticed the need of workers for more durable work clothes that were also flexible to use. Thus, he founded Levi Strauss & Co. and together with Jacob Davis they were inspired for the first Blue Jean by receiving a US patent for adding metal fasteners to the pockets of work pants, making them more resistant to tearing. Since then, it began to expand its product range to women's clothing, jackets and shoes in the 1960s and at the beginning of the new millennium its products became widely known thanks to the company's global retail network, winning the love of the public. Classic lines such as the jeans 501 and the 701 are at the top of the public's preferences as they are synonymous with casual dressing for every moment of the day.
